What is a "RAD Environment" (RADE)?
"RAD" is an acronym for "Rapid Application Development", and is used to describe a program or series of programs that handle tedious or repetitive programming tasks, and commonly include graphical interfaces for programming, instead of just text.
RAD environments allow programmers to be far more efficient--and thus produce more stable applications faster.
Microsoft's Visual Studio application suite was the first commonly accepted RAD environment, and is used by more than 3 million U.S. programmers.

Why create our own RADE?
Our issues with the Microsoft Visual Studio RADE and "n-tier" development:
Much of the code written for Data Access and Business Rules application layers was repetitive, only differing based on the application's data model.
The MS Visual Studio RADE did not have toolsets that promoted tight synchronization with commonly accepted development methodologies.
Once developed, seemingly small changes to the data model could be difficult because those changes would have to be replicated throughout all tiers of the architecture.
What's so special about our RADE?
Our RADE was designed by our own development team, and is a proprietary trade secret of djhill & associates, inc.
It does NOT replace the MS Visual Studio suite, it simply builds upon it, and automates the repetitive parts of the dev process.
Key features:
Generates/utilizes standard, non-proprietary Visual Studio code.
Synchronizes data model with all tiers of the application, allowing for most changes to the data model to be immediately replicated throughout the application.
Tightly integrates with the industry standard development methodology that our firm implements.
Collects, stores and generates information for documentation purposes.
Allows our developers to quickly build solid, highly usable, bug free applications.
Our developers are twice as efficient as those using the standard MS Visual Studio RADE.
